Danish design with a global history - that is the philosophy of OK Design. Unique pieces of furniture are made there, focusing on cultural diversity.
OK Design was founded in the Danish capital Copenhagen in 2008. The Danish, meanwhile, have settled down in Mexico City and Cairo as well. The chairs Acapulco and Condesa are produced in a Mexican district plagued by poverty and problems. OK Design concentrates on helping people where they are by offering work to them. OK Design makes it possible for the Mexican employees to earn three times the minimum wage - both women and men equally.
The aim of better working conditions is also good for the customer in the end: Those measures made it possible for OK Design to develop special PVC, which is used in Acapulco and Condesa. Contrasting other companies that use plastic, the special material of OK Design is free from phthalates and heavy metals.
