The Filio collection was designed by Tassilo von Grolman in the 1980s. Filigree design and the best tea culture are united here in perfect form.
The characteristic feature of the Filio -series are the freely swinging glasses, which are suspended in a stainless steel frame. The glass shapes are harmonious and round, while the shape of the filigree stainless steel frame picks up the curved lines. Also, thanks to the frame being made of one piece, the overall shape remains very reduced and clear. These characteristics ensure that the mono Filio collection appears timeless and carefree.
The preparation of tea with the Filio teapot becomes a fascinating spectacle: In a backdrop of glass, metal and light, the tea leaves float and unfold their full aroma. However, the design is not only visually appealing, but also very functional: due to the specific geometry of the glass hemisphere, the last bit of liquid remains in the Filio teapot and with it the tea crumbs. The glasses and the teapot warmer provide an appropriate presentation when serving.
The mono Filio collection transports the millennia-old tea culture into the modern age. For this merit, the series was awarded the iF Design Award by Tassilo von Grolman.
