Entirely in line with: Design, craftsmanship & morality. Mater is a Danish brand, founded by Henrik Marstrand in 2006 that concentrates on the production of sustainable and natural lights and furniture.

The vision is to produce timeless things, produced in a harmless way. For this reason Mater combines the ideas of aspiring, young designers and traditional handicrafts from Denmark. This is the only way to guarantee that the three basic ideas of the company will be kept.

Mater manufactures furniture and lamps that delight with a timeless, durable and natural design. The name "Mater" is derived from the Latin term for mother. Mater's commitment is to protect mother nature with harmless manufacturing processes and resource-friendly handling during the production of furniture.
