Welcome to the City of Love!
Paris has many places of interest: the Eiffel tower, Montmartre with the basilica Sacré-Coeur, the Notre-Dame cathedral, Moulin Rouge, the Champs-Élysées with the Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre and many more.
After the end of the First World War, Paris was doubtlessly the centre of art deco and it is still internationally one of the most important metropolises in fashion design with its Haute Couture and Prêt-à-porter.
Design legends such as Jean Prouvé or Le Corbusier had their offices in Paris and numerous contemporary design icons, such as Gesa Hansen, Christophe Pillet, Jean-Marie Massaud, Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec or Philippe Starck also have design studios in the French capital.
Design and architecture enthusiasts will love Paris: Besides art deco in the Louvre and contemporary design in the Centre Pompidou, Paris also has some important fairs. The Paris Design Week presents architectural trends, arts and lifestyle once a year and the Maison & Objet is the international fair for interior design and decoration.
