Danish ceramics design
The Danish ceramics company Kähler Design looks back on a long history.
Since its foundation in 1839, Kähler has been leading the Danish ceramics industry. Ever since, the handcraft has been passed down from generation to generation.
Traditional handwork
The company’s experience with classic craftwork are reinterpreted from a contemporary perspective. The result are exciting new ceramics that feature a new timelessness and individual character.
Each piece that bears the name Kähler has been shaped by skilled hands and designed from the heart. 100 years ago, artists such as Thorvald Bindesbøll, Svend Hammershøj and Kai Nielsen created ceramics at Kähler. Today, Louise Campbell, Bjørn Poulsen, Jeanette List Amstrup and others carry on the tradition. With these young and high-class designers, Kähler can look forward to a bright future.
