Timeless lighting classics
The Gräshoppa series by Gubi embodies a stylish timelessness. The lamps, which were already designed in 1947, are one of the most important works of the Swedish-American designer Greta Magnusson Grossman. The filigree structure of the lamp was named givens for the grasshopper.
Greta Magnusson Grossman was inspired in her work by Walter Gropius and Le Corbusier. Nevertheless, she followed her own style and with her European influences she shaped the American mid-century design. Grossmann received numerous awards for her designs, which have lost none of their individual charm to this day.
