The Italian designers Andrea Radice and Folco Orlandini founded the studio Radice Orlandini. Both studied at the Politecnico di Milano, whereby Andrea Radice graduated in Industrial Design and Folco Orlandini in Architecture.
Andrea Radice worked on design projects for companies like Nikon, Fiat and BMW after he graduated. Folco Orlandini started his career developing a concept car at the Alfa Romeo design center in Arese.
They work together on numerous projects and for international companies since 2008.
The designs of the Radice Orlandini design studio are characterized by the combination of functionality and ergonomy with a hint of irony. Products that cross the public and easy borderlines subtly emerge out of this approach. The exceptional work of both designers has already been honoured with numerous awards: they received the Young&Design Award in 2010 for their Phantom Chair, the Chicago Athanaeum Good Design Award for their Infinity Drop Chair in 2011 and the Chicago Athanaeum Good Design Award for their Domitalia Buochon Chair in 2013.
