Multidisciplinary design studio from Copenhagen
Norm Architects was founded in 2008 by architects and designers Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen and Kasper Rønn. Their creative office in the heart of Copenhagen produces designs that are rooted in the Scandinavian design tradition - and due to honour and refine this tradition. Their clean, minimalist design sets the studio apart. Whether residential architecture, interior design, photography or industrial design - with the claim to create puristic and timeless objects, the designers focus on the essentials.
Minimalist and aesthetic
For Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen & Kasper Rønn, good design meets actual needs without neglecting the sensual aspect. A classic, recognisable form combined with a new, original twist, attracts attention. A surprising, small detail or the use of a new material awakens the urge to want to touch a product, smell it or enjoy the sound when it is placed on the table.
Products from Norm Architects combine function with beauty and add that certain aspect of timelessness and soul. In addition to functionality, the use of natural materials creates a sensory experience and pleasure when using the products. Among her most famous designs is the Kettle teapot for Menu - the perfect mix of Asian Zen philosophy and modern Scandinavian architecture.
