Minimalism from Denmark
Mads Odgård is a Danish designer who, since the end of the 1980s, focuses on creating functional and long-lasting products with which conjure up a spontaneous smile in the face of the customer. Mads Odgård studied design at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and in the Art Center Europe in Switzerland.
His designs are minimalist and always start with a drawing of a room and the idea of the object. He rather reduces the design, than to add one more detail. Odgård is convinced that design can only be successful when comfort, technology, ergonomics, ecology, economics and aesthetics are in balance.
