Belgian design
James Van Vossel is a designer born in Belgium in 1977. He studied furniture design at the VOMO in Mechelen. After graduating in 2006 he founded his own design studio where he designs furniture, lamps and accessories. "I can't sit on a drawing", James Van Vossel comments on his working method and so he develops entire studies based on true-to-scale prototypes.
Van Vossel's designs are characterized by enormous diversity and the way in which clever gimmicks can be used to approach design solutions.
