Inga Sempé is a French designer. She was born in Paris where she still lives and works today. She made her graduation at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle in Paris in the year 1993. Since then, Inga Sempé specialized on the design of furniture, lamps, objects and fabrics.
Already in the year 2000 Inga Sempè founded her own design office in Paris. She worked together with Italian companies such as Cappellini and Edra at the beginning of her career. In the year 2002 she designed the floor lamp PO/0202 for Cappellini’s collection Progetto Oggetto.
Meanwhile she does also work for French companies such as Ligne Roset, Moustache, Domestic and Baccarat, but also for Italians such as lucePlan, Scandinavians such as David Design or the American manufacturer Astecnica.
An exposition of Inga Sempé was displayed in the Musée des Arts décoratifs in 2003. In the same year she won the Grand Prix de la Création en Design of the city of Paris.
