Award-winning design solutions: The Design Plus Award

The Design Plus Award is one of the leading competitions for industrial design in the fields of lighting and building technology. Established in 1983 as a trade fair competition, an independent jury of experts selects outstanding interior design every year. Alongside the red dot Award, the iF design Award and the German Design Award, the Design Plus Award is one of the leading prizes in the field of home and industrial design.

The award is presented Design Plus Award is presented by Messe Frankfurt and the German Design Council, an industry body initiated by the German Bundestag and dedicated to promoting groundbreaking design.

Strict selection criteria for an award

More than 120 companies from over 20 countries now submit their works each year. The selection criteria include

• design quality
• overall conception
• innovative content
• choice of materials
• technical and ecological aspects

Young product designers can submit their creations to the young professionals competition Design Plus young Professionals.
