Made of teak with SunTexture
Skagerak manufactures the Columbus Sun Bed Sun Bed from solid teak, which is of course FSC® certified. Teak is a hard and durable type of wood. Because of its high content of natural impregnating oils, teak is very resistant to rot and fungal decay. Therefore, teak is an ideal material for garden loungers.
The fabric cover of the Columbus Sun Bed s is made of SunTexture. This is a synthetic fabric with extremely good properties for outdoor use, because it is light and flexible, does not rot and is resistant to bleaching ultraviolet sunlight. Raindrops can quickly penetrate the open fabric, so SunTexture dries quickly. These properties mean that SunTexture requires no special care and only needs to be cleaned with normal soapy water.
