The Outdoor Cachepots are handmade with great care. Therefore, small deviations from the product images are possible, but form each piece a unique object of art. To protect the aesthetics and texture of these decorative pots, we recommend protecting it from liquid as much as possible.
Our recommendation for the winter
1. Check drainage before winter:
If water can drain away well, there is little chance of waterlogging forming. The well-tried clay shard over the drainage hole often helps.
2. Do not place cachepots on the saucers:
There is a risk of water collecting here. The excess water can accumulate or even freeze.
3. Do not place planters directly on the ground in winter:
Small stands or plant rollers are better, so that water runs off optimally.
4. Protect planters in winter:
If you want to be on the safe side, wrap planters with jute fabric, bubble wrap or wicker mat, this protects against the cold. But be careful - do not wrap the soil, otherwise the moisture will accumulate here.
5. Additional warmth:
Who can, should look for a wind-protected, shady place for planted planters for the winter. This will prevent the sun from drying out the soil too much. Several planters can be grouped together for warmth and protection.
