Plant bag for the balcony
"To bag nature or have it in the bag" is the motto of the French company Bacsac . The slogan is not a simple slogan but rather a programme that is designed to make it possible to create gardens on small balconies or narrow terraces.
With loops for hanging up
The balcony hanging Pot bag is part of the plant bag collection of Bacsac . It has a capacity of 10 litres and has two straps with loops on the side for easy attachment to balcony railings, pillars or fences.
Designer Godefroy de Virieu and landscape gardeners Louis de Fleurieu and Virgile Desurmont have created a collection of planting bags for this purpose, which are made of 100% recyclable geotextile, breathable and waterproof, as well as UV-resistant and frost-proof. The planting Bacsac bags are also extremely light and, unlike heavy plant pots, can be easily and conveniently transported to any roof terrace. In addition to the geotextile version, the plant bag is also available in Batyline fabric.
Geotextile and batyline
Geotextile fabric is not only relatively light, but also offers the plant and its soil ideal conditions for growth: it allows the soil to breathe, is permeable to water and at the same time limits evaporation. Batyline, on the other hand, is a double-walled fabric that maintains the necessary balance between air, soil and water. The tear-resistant, abrasion and frost-resistant outer fabric is UV-treated and can withstand temperatures from -30°C to 70°C. Inside, the felt layer protects the roots, limits evaporation and distributes the water. In addition, the fabric is permeable, allowing the soil to breathe and the water to drain away. Just like the geotextile, it is 100% recyclable.
