Lounge Chair by Bodil Kjaer
In 1959, Danish architect and designer Bodil Kjaer launched a line of furniture for indoor and outdoor use. She was tasked with creating a series for the U.S. market that would be inspired by the architecture and nature in the garden at the time. The result was clean and streamlined furniture with a timeless look. Carl Hansen is now relaunching this series, which includes BK11 Lounge Chair .
Made of solid teak with inclined seat and backrests
The lounge chair made of solid teak convinces with its elegant and clear form and radiates both warmth and precision. The seat and backrest of the lounge chair are inclined and consist of individual slats. They provide high comfort that can be further enhanced by a matching seat cover with weatherproof cover. Armrests, legs and connecting struts form a square around the seat and backrest on both sides. These three components are connected by mortise and tenon joinery. The lounge chair is a perfect visual match for the BK12 lounge sofa and the BK16 side table.
