The Crate side table from Hay is one of the classics that has been reissued. The Crate collection by Dutch architect and designer Gerrit Rietveld was created in 1934. The aim was to use surplus wooden crates for transportation. The Crate side table was produced with a strong focus on the original design and has the same extremely precisely balanced proportions. The transparent construction allows for an optimized assembly process. The low table legs, the square table top and the diagonal cross struts give the table its simplicity.
