The S 40 Outdoor chair from Thonet is a classic cantilever chair, which was already to be found in the Thonet catalogue in 1935 under the name B 33 g (g for garden). The garden chair was designed by the Dutch architect and designer Mart Stam, who created numerous chairs for Thonet at the time.
Today's S 40 Outdoor chair is made of solid Iroko wood (FSC® seal) from Africa, which is characterized by high density and excellent weather resistance. In addition, the wooden slats of the backrest and seat are oiled, making them ideal for outdoor use. The curved frame, on the other hand, is made of weatherproof stainless steel and provides an elegant contrast to the warm wood.
The S 40 Outdoor chair is available with or without armrests and can be easily combined with other garden furniture from Thonet's All Seasons collection.
