The name "Timbur", which means "wood" in Icelandic, matches the minimalist aesthetics of the bench. Gudmundur Ludvik, who works as a cabinetmaker, has incorporated the natural structure of the wood into the design and integrated it seamlessly into the overall look. Sustainability is a guiding principle in the design of the bench, which promotes the responsible use of resources and the maximization of material efficiency. The modular design consists of four parts that can be flat-packed and minimize the carbon footprint.
