Classic lights for indoors & outdoors
Back in 1925/26, Poul Henningsen designed the 3-piece lampshade and the first models for the PH lights, which are now available in a wide range of variations. The PH 3-2½ wall light from Louis Poulsen is part of the PH light series by Henningsen and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
Glare-free light
The luminaire was designed based on the principle of a reflective three-shade system that directs most of the light downwards. The shades are painted matt white on the inside, creating a diffuse and comfortable light distribution. The PH 3-2½ wall light from Louis Poulsen is 100% glare-free and provides pleasant diffuse lighting both indoors and outdoors thanks to its symmetrical light distribution without creating shadows.
Equipped with an E27 base, the wall light can be fitted with a light source of up to 60 watts.
Architecture and light: Poul Hennigsen
Poul Henningsen was born in Copenhagen, the son of the famous Danish actress Agnes Henningsen. He did not graduate as an architect, but studied at the Frederiksberg Technical School from 1911-1914 and then at the Technical College in Copenhagen from 1914-17. He also began to apply traditional functionalist architecture. However, his professional interest soon focused mainly on lighting design - and that is what he is famous for.
