Luminaire for clamping, setting up and mounting
The w153 île by Inga Sempé for Wästberg is a table lamp, clamp lamp and wall lamp in one and proves that clamp lamps can also become decorative design objects.
Multi-purpose luminaire made of aluminium and steel
Inga Sempé was inspired by the clever clamp lights of her childhood, which were used in many French country houses. A clamp is attached to the socket of a light bulb and a conical shade is placed on the bulb to diffuse the light. Simple and ingenious.
On the basis of these clamp lamps, Sempé developed a multi-purpose lamp which, in addition to its clamp function, also functions as a table lamp and can be fixed to the wall. The luminaire is made of aluminium and powder-coated steel and is available in various colours. The construction consists of a circular base, which ensures a firm stand, and a conical lampshade, which is adjustable and distributes the light of the LED lamp in a gentle way in the room.
The luminaire is ideally suited as a reading and working light and is flexible and functional due to the various possible applications.
