Birdy is a series of lamps from Northern , which was already designed in 1952 by the Norwegian designer Birger Dahl. In 1954, the table lamp, then known by the somewhat bulky name "s-30016", was awarded the highly prized gold medal at the Milan Triennale. In 2013 Northern decided to re-edition of the series of lamps, without neglecting the original shape and unique features of the original.
The design of the table lamp is characterized by its almost cylindrical shade, which is held by a filigree, two-linked frame and therefore reminds of the silhouette of a bird from the basic structure. The table lamp owes its current name to this association.
With the help of the two joints, the light head can be easily directed in the desired direction and provides light where it is needed. The bright zone light illuminates, for example, the desk when working or placed on the side table or dresser provides atmospheric lighting in any room.
Available is the Birdy table lamp is available in different colored lacquers as well as metal frames in metallic, brass or black.
