Table lamp by Arne Jacobsen in mini anniversary format

The AJ Mini table lamp from Louis Poulsen is part of the AJ series of lamps by Arne Jacobsen, who designed the lamps for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen back in 1957. In 2020, Louis Poulsen is celebrating the 60th anniversary of the hotel's opening with the relaunch of the AJ Mini table lamp. With its compact design, the lamp is particularly practical and decorative on a windowsill or bedside table.

Made of die-cast zinc and steel with swivel head

The profile of the AJ light is particularly impressive with its straight lines and the combination of oblique and right angles, which is in keeping with the geometric profiles of the hotel. The luminaire is made of die-cast zinc and steel in many different colors. Painted white on the inside, the luminaire emits pleasantly diffuse light, which can be optimally adjusted in any situation thanks to the swivel-mounted luminaire head. This creates direct and directional light as well as soft and indirect light as required.

Design legend from Denmark: Arne Jacobsen

He worked in the office of City Architect of Copenhagen until he opened his own architectural practice two years later. Arne Jacobsen is a Danish modernist architect of world renown. The buildings he designed can be found in Denmark, Germany and the UK.
