In the late 1940s and early 1950s, the table lamp first appeared in Gräshoppa Table Lamp first appeared in the installations of Greta Magnusson Grossman. Like many other designs by the Danish-American designer, the table lamp was produced Gräshoppa Table Lamp was produced only in very limited numbers and for a short time.
2013 brings Gubi the Gräshoppa table lamp back to the tables of the world as a re-edition, because the rare originals are now virtually unaffordable. Like the large Gräshoppa floor lamp, the table lamp from the iconic collection embodies a stylish timelessness. Over the decades, the light and clear design of the Gräshoppa lost nothing of its charm.
Gubi manufactures the lamp base with integrated switch and the flexible lamp arm made of brass. The shade of the Gräshoppa Table lamp is made of powder-coated aluminum and is available in various subtle colors. Thanks to the movable arm, the light can be directed as desired, so that the glare effect is minimal. The lighting object, which also looks contemporary today, is equally suitable as a work lamp and as a pure statement of good design, for example on the sideboard.
