Stylish table lamp made of stainless steel and Plexiglas
The Coppia table lamp by Vibeke Fonnesberg Schmidt embodies the perfect balance between design and sculpture, a characteristic feature of her work as a lighting designer. The name "Coppia", the Italian word for "couple", reflects the idea of duality and pairings. With its material combination of stainless steel and Plexiglas, the luminaire also exudes a touch of 1950s and 1960s style.
The luminaire consists of two differently sized sets of Plexiglas panes, which are elegantly fixed in a curved stainless steel frame. These discs soften and diffuse the light from the central bulbs and create beautiful reflections on the steel surface. Open areas in the structure invite the viewer to explore the interior of the luminaire and fully grasp the depth of the design. In this way, Coppia becomes more than just a luminaire - it becomes a sculpture that plays with light, form and material and influences the room with color and shape.
Thanks to its robust base, Coppia can be used both as a table and floor lamp. It can be balanced on its larger or smaller disk and can be easily moved from desk to bedside table, from shelf to windowsill. No matter where it is placed - Coppia leaves an artistic impression, whether switched on or off.
