Filigree Pendant Light
The Random Light pendant light with its filigree appearance was designed by Bentjan Pot in 2001 for the Dutch manufacturer Moooi.
The production process sounds pretty straightforward as the lampshade consists of glass fibres that are saturated in epoxy resin before being wound around a large balloon. This sounds simple but according to the designer it took 3 years to be developed.
Each light is unique
The results however, look good as the Random Light is not only an eye-catcher in every room but also has a unique play of light and shadows. It gives a feeling of simplicity, lightness and a breath of magic to every room. Every light is unique due to the production process. Moooi has the Random Light in three sizes (diameter: 50 cm, 80 cm. 105 cm) and in a black or white edition. The light made of fibreglass, epoxy and chrome-plated steel is also available in an LED version.
