Timeless wooden pendant light
Designed in 1954 by Friis & Moltke, the FM 1954 pendant light for Frandsen is an example of minimalist design. Its clean, round lines are complemented by two new FSC-certified finishes in walnut and oak veneer, giving the timeless design a warmer, more natural aesthetic. The distinctive features and patterns of the natural veneer finishes give each pendant light a unique sculptural character.
Friis & Moltke
Knud Friis (1926-2010) and Elmar Moltke Nielsen (1924-1997) founded Friis & Moltke 195 4. In the 1960s, they introduced a mild form of Brutalism to Denmark, characterized by massive structures integrated into the landscape, raw concrete walls and exposed technical installations. Their unique creative partnership led to groundbreaking projects both in Denmark and internationally and had a significant influence on Danish architecture. The two partners worked together on almost every project their office undertook.
