Pendant luminaire manufactured according to Bohemian glassblowing tradition
The Stablight pendant luminaire by Artemide was designed by Arik Levy and playfully combines old glassblowing tradition with modern technology. The Stablight pendant luminaire is available in various shapes and colours, which can be wonderfully combined with each other. But every Stablight also becomes an eye-catcher in the living area on its own.
The luminaire consists of a textile cable and a socket for the lamp. Around the frame there is a glass shade made in the Bohemian glassblowing tradition. The glass is hand blown into the prefabricated wooden moulds. Different layers of glass and different colours are heated again and again during this process and blown into the mould until the desired glass shade is achieved. Thus each glider is absolutely unique and no two are alike.
