At the Birdy This floor lamp is a re-edition of the classic lamp created by the Norwegian designer Birger Dahl in 1952. The modern and yet slightly playful design was already inspiring at that time, so that the lamp was awarded the gold medal at the Milan Triennale in 1954.
In terms of design and functionality, the new edition of Northern from 2013 is in no way inferior to the original and continues to impress with its unique features today as it did then: The Birdy Floor lamp has a conically shaped lamp head, which is held by a filigree frame. The luminaire owes its name to its shape, which is reminiscent of a bird with its head lowered.
Thanks to the two joints on the frame, the luminaire can be adjusted to suit individual requirements, allowing the light cone to be directed in the desired direction. For example, when placed next to an armchair, the luminaire provides excellent light for reading, while in the corridor the bright zone light creates an inviting, cosy atmosphere.
Available is the Birdy Floor lamp from Northern in different colours.
