Timeless, glare-free designer lamp
The PH 80 Floor lamp is a stylish, elegant floor lamp for the living room. The three-part lampshade gives glare-free light and a soft shade. Designer Poul Henningsen was the first to deal with light on a scientific basis, using the logarithmic spiral. With its help and by using glass, he achieved an even distribution of light and diffuse reflection, i.e. glare and shadow effects could be influenced as desired. The brightness is uniformly dimmed by the individual shade elements.
High-quality materials for first-class design
The PH 80 floor lamp is not only suitable for the living room, but with its timeless design also for all other rooms, such as bedrooms or offices.
The lamp base and stem are made of bright chrome-plated steel, the shades are made of opal acrylic and polycarbonate.
Architecture and light: Poul Hennigsen
Poul Henningsen was born in Copenhagen, the son of the famous Danish actress Agnes Henningsen. He did not graduate as an architect, but studied at the Frederiksberg Technical School from 1911-1914 and then at the Technical College in Copenhagen from 1914-17. He also began to apply traditional functionalist architecture. However, his professional interest soon focused mainly on lighting design - and that is what he is famous for.
