At the Tatou floor lamp from Flos , designer Patricia Urquiola has been inspired by Japanese armor. Thus the honeycomb-like lampshade reminds of a shield, as for example an armadillo, in French " tatou ", carries it.
This special shade creates a fascinating lighting effect: thanks to a satin diffuser inside, the luminaire emits its light in all directions. It escapes to the sides through the openings of the second shade and creates fabulous light and shadow effects.
