At the heart of the Emi is the Light Shadow optical concept from Flos , in which the light is emitted from deep cones without the light source being visible - an almost paradoxical effect that makes the luminaire unique.
Erwan Bouroullec, the creative mind behind the Emi series, explains: "The triangular nature of the light is emphasized by the light modules, which runs through the entire design. The main section, the rod and the stands all share this shape to create a coherent and visually balanced structure. We have replaced the usual logic of rectangular geometry with a purely triangular approach, which is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also offers structural benefits and changes the perspective in a unique and playful way."
Thanks to the unique patented optical solution, the Emi extreme cut-off angles without compromising on efficiency and versatility. The floor lamp has touch dimming capacity sensors in the upper part of the central rod, which enable simple and intuitive adjustment of the light intensity.
