Flexible table lamp
The Tizio table lamp was designed by Richard Sapper for Artemide . The arms of the lamp can be freely aligned and rotated. The luminaire head and counterweights ensure stability. The head of Tizio can be aligned independently of the luminaire body so that the light falls exactly where you need it.
The sophisticated design and the technical innovations inside the luminaire enable fascinating rotations of the arms. The innovation at Tizio lies in the basic concept: a transformer installed in the base of the luminaire converts the voltage from 230V to 12V and supplies a halogen lamp via small rods and buttons, which also serves as a conductor of electricity in addition to its structural function. This means that no additional cables are required.
The Tizio table lamp by Artemide and Richard Sapper has won numerous design awards for its design. It can also be seen in many museums around the world, e.g. in New York's MoMA.
