Corkscrew in the Form of A Fool
Gilberto is a wine-inebriated joker. He loves opening bottles, and uses every opportunity to fill another glass. Always looking for the next bottle, he can open.
The Jester Corkscrew belongs to the limited edition of the Circus Collection by Alessi. He was designed by Marcel Wanders and is a corkscrew in the form of a fool. The Jester cleverly conceals the functional parts of the corkscrew. The circus pedestal, the fool stands on is placed over the bottle’s neck and the body of the fool hides the worm of the corkscrew. While the hat in turn serves as a convenient grip , which facilitates the removal of the cork.
Strictly Limited Edition and Hand-made
The Jester Corkscrew by Alessi is a sculptural object for design lovers and collectors. It is available in a limited edition of 999 pieces and numbered. It consists of 40 parts made of stainless steel, which are assembled in three different production processes. Lost wax casting, for complex design elements with minute details to be reproduced; CNC machining for details that require high-precision execution for the purpose of coupling; flatbed laser cutting for complex geometric figures.
The coloured parts of the corkscrew are painted in elaborate work by hand, which is why minimum blemishes can occur. This is however not a shortcoming, but makes each individual corkscrew absolutely unique. He is the perfect gift for special occasions.
Circus Collection
In addition to the Circus Collection, a limited edition series with each 999 copies of five circus characters has been designed. The Candyman, Ringleader, the Ballerina, Strongman and The Jester are iconic figures of the circus, which are characterised by their unique appearance.
The Circus Collection by Marcel Wanders is a dreamy, imaginative world that immediately attracts and captivates its audience.
