Since 1985, Alessi has been producing the successful kettle. The famous architect and designer Michael Graves created with the 9093 "Bird Kettle" a union of classicism and postmodernism.
The bird on the spout of the 9093 kettle appears as an homage to its porcelain predecessors as well as decorations on American tea sets of the 1 9. century. In contrast, the Alessi steel kettle itself has a conical classicism, emphasized by a ring of dots on the underside and a black ball as the lid handle.
The world-famous water kettle with the article number " 9093 " is the head of a family of kitchen products created by American architect and designer Michael Graves in the 1980s and '90s for Alessi . With the "Bird Kettle" from 1984, Graves created an excellent kettle that uniquely represents a mixture of postmodernism and pop, laying a foundation for the typical design of the 90s.
The 9093 kettle was the first product by an American designer to enter the Alessi program. Today, the iconic kettle is the Italian company's best-selling object worldwide Alessi .
