Modern Mortar & Pestle
The mortar & pestle have been used since ancient times and are probably one of the oldest kitchen devices. The mortar and pestle by Design House Stockholm was designed by Jessika Källeskog, who wanted to give a modern shape to a traditional tool. The slightly modified form has a timeless appearance that allows a calmer motion.
Made from Solid Marble
Acting both as a sculture and a tool, Tondo is completely unique and very familiar at the same time. It consists of a ring and a hallowed out block in which the ring fits perfectly. Both components are manufactured from solid and high-quality marble. As a result, peppercorns, spices, salt, nuts and much more can be finely crushed. The ring is comfortably held in the hand ensuring the whole process is enjoyable.
Tondo is at the heart of every kitchen and provides a focal point and conversation piece at dinner with friends.
