Kitchen set made from a cotton-linen mix
The Unikko Kollaasi kitchen set from Marimekko consists of an oven glove, a potholder and a kitchen towel, all made from an unbleached cotton-linen blend and carefully printed in Helsinki. The oven glove and potholder have a padded filling and hanging loops, while the kitchen towel has a hanging loop on the long edge.
With 46% recycled cotton and 21% recycled linen, this set is an example of commitment to sustainability.
In honor of the 60th anniversary of the Unikko pattern, each product in this set proudly bears the anniversary label. Presented in the Unikko 60th anniversary box, this set makes a thoughtful and stylish gift.
Please note that the kitchen textiles are sewn across the full width of the fabric, resulting in variations in appearance that make each product unique.
Unikko by Majia Isola
Unikko, designed by Maija Isola in 1964, has become an international icon of print design. The founder of Marimekko , Armi Ratia, initially believed that it was impossible to reproduce the essence of real flowers in print, which led to their exclusion from the collections. As a result, Isola designed Unikko as an abstract representation rather than a photorealistic image. Today, Unikko symbolizes joy and creativity and fits seamlessly into the design ethos of Marimekko .
