It is probably one the best known design objects of the 20th century: the lemon squeezer Juicy Salif
In 1990, Philippe Starck designed the bold object for the traditional Italian company Alessi. Supposedly, the idea for Juicy Salif came to him when he was eating calamari.
Although there are contrary positions concerning its functionality due to the missing sieve for the seeds, but because of this and its striking form, Juicy Salif embodies the post-modern design of the late 20th century in a unique
way. Juicy Salif consists of cast aluminium. Its feet are made of PA plastic.
