Fondue sets are fascinating and complex in form and function. There are lots of types of fondue, quite different from each other and rooted in the respective regional cultures. All fondues share the same principle: A pot is placed on a source of heat and then directly positioned on the table.
In order to meet different needs, the designer Stefano Giovannoni has designed a series around the fondue set Mami for Alessi. The series contains everything the connoisseur needs and offers the all-inclusive package for a comfortable fondue evening.
The fondue Bourguignonne is a special meat fondue that originally stems from the French region of Burgundy. The Bourguignonne set is also suitable for all types of fondue. The pot made of stainless steel does conduct heat better than its ceramic counterpart. The ceramic fondue pan has its strengths in cheese and chocolate fondue. The individual parts of the series can easily be combined. The stabile frame holds both the stainless steel and the ceramic pot. The burner, which can be used with special fuel paste or alcohol, heats both pots to the required temperature. In order to completely fulfil your wishes, two different forks are available: The Bourguignonne forks have two prongs and are ideal for meat. The fondue forks have three prongs and are suitable for cheese or chocolate. The Mami fondue set, the stainless steel and ceramic bowls, the Bourguignonne forks and fondue forks, as well as an individual pot for the fondue and Bourguignonne are also available on request.
