The Syksy drinking glass from Marimekko is made from mouth-blown glass. The Syksy (Autumn) glass series, designed by Matti Klenell, continues the exploration of nature and weather phenomena familiar in the art of printing Marimekko . The overarching theme of the new series is the forms of autumn rain, from a gentle drizzle to powerful, penetrating showers.

A refined, nuanced and palpable sense of rain has been captured in the glass products, as an organic, relief-like surface texture applied in a sketchy manner that is typical of the designer.
