Stoneware plate in floral design
The Oiva Unikko Kollaasi plate with handle from Marimekko is made of white stoneware and is therefore dishwasher, oven, microwave and freezer safe.
This product commemorates the 60th anniversary of the Unikko design and proudly displays the anniversary stamp on its base.
Before using the product, please remove the sticker on the bottom as it contains a small amount of metal.
Unikko by Maija Isola
Unikko was designed by Maija Isola in 1964 and has become an internationally recognized icon of print design. The founder of Marimekko , Armi Ratia, initially believed that it was not possible to capture the true essence of real flowers in print, which led to the exclusion of floral prints from the Marimekko collections. As a result, Maija Isola designed Unikko as an abstract representation of a flower rather than a photorealistic portrait. Today, Unikko is a strong symbol of joy and creativity that is seamlessly woven into the design identity of Marimekko .
