Siirtolapuutarha is the somewhat cryptic name of the series from which Marimekkos Oiva Räsymatto bowl comes. The Finnish word Siirtolapuutarha means "allotment garden" and describes the colourful mixture of the associated products.

The creation of the Marimekko Oiva Räsymatto bowl is just as colourful: the iconic Räsymatto pattern comes from Maija Louekari, while Sami Ruotsalainen designed the shape of the Oiva serving bowl. That's why the bowl with the complicated name cuts a fine figure even without its contents.
