In the moment Rosenthal presented TAC by Walter Gropius in 1969, his sketches also included one formally completed series for the coffee table, which wasn’t produced; Drawings of dining services that followed the shapes of the successful tea service remained in the drawers of the products development department. They serve as models for the current TAC Gropius coffee set by Rosenthal.
Gropius believed in the ergonomic shapes. His ideas of spheres remained important in the TAC coffee set. This set is the result of the cooperation between the Rosenthal Creative Center and the Bauhaus-Foundation in Dessau.
