Description
The espresso maker "La Conica", which was designed by Aldo Rossi for Alessi in the 1980s, is a design classic.
It was the first object by Rossi which was mass-produced and quickly became a bestseller.
"La Conica" is seen as the epitome of the connection between architecture and household articles. Rossi had the idea of turning a simple household article into a miniature monument. The clear shapes, which rise up like a building and let the espresso machine appear like a tower, stem from this idea.
