Decorative carafe with glass ball as closure
The Design House Stockholm Fia Carafe was designed by Nina Jobs, who, in her quest for simplicity, has equipped it with functional natural shapes and colours. Despite the simple form, the Swedish designer could not resist to include a sophisticated feature in the mouth-blown carafe. This consists of the possibility of storing the lid and its shape.
The carafe, which can be used for wine and water or as a flower vase, by the Nordic design manufacturer Design House Stockholm is named after the Swedish version of the board game "Mensch ärgere dich nicht" because of its playful character. This playfulness is underlined by the straight lines, as well as by the precisely cut balls in different crystal colours.
Nina Jobs Fia Carafe for Design House Stockholm not only possesses refined grace, but also offers an eco-friendly, elegant alternative to serving table water. The water carafe is a sharp contrast to the banality of the ubiquitous plastic bottle.
