Description

As part of his thesis, Christoph Böninger designed the world's first laptop in 1982, which can be found amongst other things in Design Museum at the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich. The latest design from Böninger has the potential to become a classic as well.

The Bottle Box, made from domestic oak and spruce, picks up on the principle of universal design and combines different functions with each other. The box can act equally as a bottle rack, stool or step stool and is based on the iconic Ulmer Stool, which was designed in 1954 by Swiss architect and designer Max Bill for the School of Design in Ulm.

The separate compartments offer space for up to eight bottles, meaning the Bottle Box can be conveniently used as a drinks carton and transported using the stable wooden grip. Put on its head or side, the box can equally act as a table or stool. The perfect companion for a cosy picnic or barbecue evening with friends.
