This dustpan and brush by Normann Copenhagen is functional and extremely durable. The household helpers were designed by Ole Jensen.
The idea came to the designer when he became annoyed by the dirt and dust on the ground of one of his workshops and brushed it with and into a folded newspaper.
The Normann Copenhagen dustpan is made from high-quality polypropylene with a perforated line, from which it gets its shape. It also has a hole which the brush handle can be slid through so the set can be hung from the wall.
The brush consists of Chinese pig bristles placed around a rod and pasted to a wedge that is embedded into the wooden handle. On conventional brushes, the bristles are usually just run through the wood. Thanks to this old Chinese technique, you get an extremely durable brush. This process also emphasises the simple design of the dustpan and brush by Normann Copenhagen.
