Fair Trade Rug with Proceeds for Charity
Kala is the name of the colourful nanimarquina rug and means "tomorrow" and "art" in Hindi. The design is a result of the cooperation between the rug manufacturer and the Care & Fair initiative to support and promote children’s imagination and creativity for a better future.
The Kala rug is the highlight of the joint project between nanimarquina and Care & Fair, a partnership with India, the most important producer of nanimarquina.
The rugs by Nani Marquina are adorned with the colourful and original drawings by students from the Care & Fair schools in India.
Proceeds from the sale of the Kala rugs go to the Amita Schools Bhadohi (India)!
