Iconic forms with perfect proportions inspired Enzo Mari for his collection della Natura. “Tre, la mela e la pera” is the third object out of the graphic series created by the Italian designer. This art edition by Danese Milano brings back the classic piece.
Nature is the model for beauty and elegance. The harmonic proportions and the iconic strength of the images leve the interpretation up to the viewer: Apple and pear as symbols for man and woman, sin and temptation, Yin and Yang. Despite (or maybe because of) the manifold interpretation possibilities, the design remains clear and reduced, so that “Tre, la mela e la pera” is perfectly suitable as wall decoration for the living room, children’s room, office or public rooms equally.
The Danese Milano “della natura” series includes six images with nature motives, from the single apple over the panther up to the goose head. Enzo Mari created these images in the 1960s and 1970s with the ambition of creating motives that would still be relevant in 300 years time.
