Poster with motifs of iconic furniture & Accessories
To complement the furniture collection, Artek launched the "abc Collection" in 2012: This brings together small, everyday objects that complement the Finnish manufacturer's legendary furniture and lighting and are always a joy to behold. The Icon Posters designed by the German designer duo Greige are part of this collection, and they show legendary furniture in an iconic, pictogram-like way.
The Artek Icon Poster Beehive depicts the famous A331 lamp designed by Alvar Aalto in 1953. Originally designed for the University of Jyväskylä, the pendant light spread very quickly, as its characteristic shape makes the "Beehive" decorative and sculptural even when switched off. With the poster, Artek now makes a statement with which even people who do not need new furniture can bring good design into the living area.
